“As a musician you’re really just capturing the moment; the song should take you there.”

Mazon Mendoza is a 24-year old California Singer-Songwriter/Music Producer who combines alternative and art rock to create unique folk stories.

Initially drawn towards music production at age 14 by electronic artists he began creating instrumentals and writing his own songs. Later, inspired by John Mayer, Elliot Smith and others, he started playing guitar at age 16. Growing bored with today’s music, he has ventured into themes from the 70’s, and early 80’s; combining indie rock with folk and electronica twists from other eras.

With music in his sights, he enrolled in college at age 17, but after realizing that it wouldn’t get him to where he wanted to be, he dropped out to pursue a career in music.

Over the past six years he has worked on his self-released and recorded debut EP titled “One of These Days.” Since then, he has been featured on multiple local radio stations including KRML 94.7 FM and has played local concert series such as Downtown Live in Gilroy.
